Save the Date: Beyond the Blues 2010, Saturday September 18th
Please save the date for Beyond the Blues 2010 which will be held Saturday, September 18th on the Discovery World Terrace at Pier Wisconsin. Enjoy lively music by Streetlife With Warren Wiegratz and delicious food by Bartolotta Catering.
Here are highlights and photos from Beyond the Blues, 2009:
Held on Saturday, September 26th at the Harley-Davidson Museum, the event featured the music of Willy Porter and His Band and drew a crowd of close to 600 people! Guests toured the Harley-Davidson Museum to see vintage motorcycles and then came back to the party to enjoy music and great food provided by Levy Restaurants. Sixteen local nonprofit organizations were on hand to display important resource information.
The most important part of the event, of course, is that our guests were there to support mental health and, in particular, suicide prevention! Just by attending, our guests helped break down stigma in Milwaukee. Over $68,000 was raised to support important mental health projects. This year, a whopping 80 families added $50 or more to their ticket price or sent in a donation if they could not attend. Thank you Blues Backers!
We couldnt have done it without the support of our donors and our terrific corporate sponsors.
Thank you!
